This certification validates skills in white-box testing techniques, static analysis, non-functional testing (including performance, security, and reliability), and tool-based testing approaches. Technical Test Analysts are responsible for assessing the structural quality of software and identifying risks that arise from technical implementation decisions. ### Prerequisites The minimum prerequisite for participation in the CTAL-TTA examination is the [Foundation Level Certificate](/ISTQB/certified-tester/fl-foundation-level/). At least 18 months of practical experience in software testing, particularly in technical or developer-facing roles, is recommended before attempting this module. ### Curriculum The CTAL-TTA syllabus covers topics including control flow testing, data flow testing, code coverage criteria, architectural and design reviews, static analysis tools, and non-functional quality characteristics.
