In light of the ongoing worldwide Coronavirus situation, the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) has extended the period during which remote-proctored exams are permitted.
The ISTQB had initially permitted remote proctoring until 23rd October 2020, with the intention of reviewing the pilot scheme before its conclusion. As COVID-19 continues to dominate headlines, the executive board has taken the decision to extend the pilot period until at least Spring 2021.
A further extension of the pilot will be considered at the upcoming ISTQB General Assembly, scheduled to take place in Japan in Spring 2021.
Certible welcomes the decision as a way to ensure demand for certification is met in this challenging time while minimising the risks of COVID transmission associated with bringing people together.
The ISTQB has approved Certible’s online proctoring service for use with Certified Tester examinations, confirming that our solution meets the high standards set by the Board for important factors like security and examination integrity.
Certible offers ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CT-FL), Foundation Level Agile Extension (CT-FL-A), and Core Advanced Level certifications (CTAL-TA: Test Analyst, CTAL-TTA: Technical Test Analyst and CTAL-TM: Test Manager) examinations online.
