IREB CPRE micro-credentials
IREB micro-credentials are focused, competency-based learning units that allow professionals to demonstrate specialized knowledge in specific areas of Requirements Engineering. Each micro-credential targets a well-defined topic and is designed to be achievable in a shorter time frame than traditional CPRE levels.
Target audience
Micro-credentials are designed for professionals who want to validate their expertise in emerging or specialized topics within Requirements Engineering and Business Analysis. They are suitable for practitioners who seek to expand their skill set with targeted, up-to-date knowledge.
Key characteristics of IREB micro-credentials
- Focused scope: Each micro-credential covers a specific, well-defined topic area.
- Competency-based: Credentials are earned by demonstrating practical knowledge and skills.
- Standalone credentials: Each micro-credential is an independent certification that can be earned individually.
- Industry-relevant: Topics are selected based on current industry needs and emerging trends.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for taking a micro-credential exam. Micro-credentials are open to all professionals regardless of prior CPRE certifications.
Does the micro-credential have limited validity?
Micro-credentials are valid for 3 years from the date of issuance. To maintain the credential, holders must re-take the assessment before the expiration date.
