FAQ: Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering
All levels (excluding RE@Agile Primer) of the International Requirements Engineering Board’s Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering scheme consist of a multiple-choice examination composed of 44-45 questions, which have candidates have 75 minutes to answer. Candidates can request an extension (e.g. if taking the exam in a foreign language) to allow for a total time of 90 minutes.
Advanced Levels also include a homework assignment, to be completed within twelve months from the date of the multiple-choice exam.
The RE@Agile Primer exam is shorter, containing only 22 questions and lasting 40 minutes (50 with extension)
You’d like to prepare for the exam by reading the real questions? While that would of course be helpful, it’s against the exam regulations. Fortunately, IREB provides sample exam questions to aid in your preparation.
The examination fees vary according to examination level and country. All fees are in EURO excluding VAT, unless otherwise stated.
